He frequently writes white papers, presents at IBM technical conferences and contributes to others' presentations, and has published research into machine learning, graph processing, and natural language processing and reviews publications for the IEEE Journal of Cybernetics. He is an IBM Champion (since 2019) and has too many certifications/badges to list here (see below).

Kevin holds a master's degree in Computer Science and completed coursework towards a PhD from The University of Texas at Arlington, and bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Spanish from Brigham Young University.

Kevin is married with 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren, and resides outside Fort Worth, Texas. In their free time, he and his wife like to travel. Kevin also volunteers much of his free time with the Tarrant County Elections Board, the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, IEEE, his church, and other civic groups.
